He is a Civil Industrial Engineer and holds an MBA from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

Vercelli has over 20 years of extensive experience in the financial industry and investment areas. He began his investment career at SURA Seguros de Vida, where he became the Investment Manager. In 2008, he led the creation of SURA Administradora General de Fondos in Chile, serving as its first General Manager; in 2013, he led the creation of SURA Corredores de Bolsa, also serving as its first General Manager. Since 2018, he has served as Vice President of Voluntary Businesses at SURA Asset Management in Chile, and in July 2023, he was appointed as Country Manager Chile & Executive Director Wealth Management at SURA Investments.
