​ In compliance with the duties to disclose material information, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana S.A. -Grupo SURA- hereby announces that after passing the applicable assessment and selection process, the Board of Directors at a meeting held today, appointed Mr. JUAN LUIS MÚNERA GÓMEZ as the Company's General Counsel. Mr. Múnera will be responsible for the General Secretary of the corporation as well. Juan Luis is an Attorney from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Colombia, Specialized in Commercial Law from the same university and pursued a Masters of Laws (LL.M) at University of San Diego, California, U.S.A. His professional background includes the following positions: Attorney at Brigard & Urrutia, and Legal Manager for Special and International Affairs of Grupo Bancolombia. In 2005, he started working at Cementos Argos S.A. holding different positions in the legal area, and since 2014, acting as the Vice President of Legal and Institutional Affairs, a position he will continue holding until he starts working at Grupo SURA on August 8th.
