Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana S.A. ("Grupo SURA" or the "Company"), in compliance with current reporting requirements, and in particular, its duty to inform, deny or clarify the truthfulness of facts that have been made known by a communications media company and that deal with relevant information which issuers are required to disclose1 , hereby announces the following:

As the Company informed the market on January 16, 2022 by means of the Relevant Information channel (available here), Grupo SURA has carried out all those legal proceedings relating to possible regulatory non-compliance during the tender offers launched for the Company's ordinary shares. These proceedings, including the filing of a lawsuit against an administrative act on the part of the Superintendencia Nacional de Salud (the Colombian Superintendency of Health), constitute the legitimate exercising of the Company’s constitutional right of access to justice.

All these proceedings will continue to be carried out through the corresponding institutional channels, according to the rules and regulations governing administrative and judicial processes in Colombia. For this reason, we reject the illegal leaking of the documents associated with the lawsuit filed by the Company.

Grupo SURA shall inform the market in a timely manner regarding the results of the relevant legal actions that are underway.
