Grupo SURA hereby announces that today the Board of Directors of its core subsidiary Suramericana S.A., a specialized player in the insurance industry as well as the trend and risk management sector, appointed Juana Francisca Llano Cadavid as its new Chief Executive Officer, a position which she shall be taking over on April 1, 2020.

Juana Francisca, holds a degree in law from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellín), where she also completed postgraduate studies in Financial and Business Law, as well as in Civil Liability and Insurance; she also studied the Advanced Management Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, United States). Juana Francisca joined Suramericana 16 years ago and served as Head of Wealth Management and Head of Corporate Business before taking over her current position as Chief Insurance Officer in 2016.

Gonzalo Alberto Pérez Rojas, Suramericana’s current CEO, was appointed to replace David Bojanini García as Grupo SURA’s CEO as of April 1, 2020, as previously reported.
