SURA Asset Management, our subsidiary expert in pension fund management, savings, investment and asset management, announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Gestión Fiduciaria in Colombia, as a vehicle that allows it to expand the investment capabilities of its businesses in this country, and as part of its value offer with regional reach.

The acquisition will be made through its business unit specialized in the institutional segment, SURA Investment Management and is subject to the authorization of the Financial Superintendence of Colombia.

With the acquisition of this fiduciary vehicle, SURA Investment Management will be able to offer products domiciled in Colombia to institutional clients such as insurance companies, family offices, among others, strengthening its Latin American platform for large investors.

This operation will also serve in the future to strengthen other SURA Asset Management business units that manage investments in voluntary segments and aimed, in particular, at legal entities.

The corporate governance standards and investment processes, as well as their specialization in customer service and institutional investors, were relevant among the analysis criteria for the acquisition of Trust Management.
