Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana S.A. hereby announces that it has obtained the corresponding regulatory authorizations from the Mexican authorities (the Comisión Nacional de Seguros y Fianzas and the Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica) for proceeding with the assignment of the annuity portfolio that the Group’s subsidiary SURA Asset Management S.A. has been operating in said country through its own subsidiary, Pensiones SURA S.A. de C.V.

This transaction shall include transferring 15 thousand policies as well as assets worth approximately MXN $14,000 million (approximately USD 574 million) to Grupo Financiero Banorte de México.

This assignment operation shall be finally closed in the next few weeks once the other contractual conditions, as agreed between the parties, have been duly fulfilled.

This announcement supplements the relevant information that was announced to the market on November 29, 2019.
