He is a surgeon from Universidad CES, with a specialization in Social Security Management from Universidad CES and EAFIT (Medellín); he also holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the Instituto de Alta Dirección Empresarial de la Universidad de La Sabana (Inalde, Bogotá).

He has complemented his studies with training in Ontological Coaching from the Rafael Echeverría School (Ecore, Chile) and the Senior Management Program at INCAE (Costa Rica).

Since January 2024, he assumed the Presidency of Seguros SURA Mexico, after serving as Vice President of Compulsory Insurance of Seguros SURA Colombia. In this same subsidiary of Suramericana, he was also Vice President of Voluntary Insurance, and held other positions, such as National Health Plans Manager and Voluntary Insurance Manager of the Central Region, as part of his professional career of nearly three decades in this Company.
